REGULATIONS AND METHOD OF OPERATION
Donation distribution process
The donations committee will assess all of the submitted projects. It will then decide on the grant and amount of the donation to be awarded based on the merits of each project in relation to the other submissions.
Eligibility and selection criteria
Eligibility criteria
- To be eligible, the request must be made by a Canadian non-profit organization.
- The organization must be registered as one that is specifically engaged in providing social assistance or community social assistance services. Requests from umbrella organizations, movements or associations will not be accepted.
- The organization must be established (registered) in one of the targeted regions for at least two years (i.e. since January 1, 2009).
- The organization must have an annual budget of less than 1,5 M $.
Selection criteria
- Present a one-time project designed to fulfill a specific need in providing better assistance to women that are victims of violence or in an at-risk situation in one of the targeted regions.
- The project must get underway and be completed between June 1, 2011 and May 31, 2012.
- The donations awarded will vary from $2,500 to $10,000. Preference will be given to submitted projects in which the maximum investment is $10,000.
- The application form must be duly completed and accompanied by the required supporting documents:
- A brief description of the organization, its field of endeavors and main achievements (maximum of 1 page).
- A list of current board (or management) members.
- A summary of the project (maximum of 1 page).
- Objectives: an explanation describing the impact a contribution to this project could have and the results and/or objectives you are seeking (maximum of 1 page).
- Budget projections: a detailed budget for the project, noting other grants or subsidies to be received, if applicable, (maximum of 1 page).
- Copy of incorporation certificate.
- Financial statements.
- Projected communications plan, if applicable.
- All applications completed in full, must be received by the EPIDERMA Foundation or postmarked before the deadline, no later than February 15, 2011.
- Any EPIDERMA Foundation donation recipient must agree to provide EPIDERMA with a brief report (maximum of 2 pages) on the funded project in the three months following implementation of said project, no later than August 31, 2012.
Notes :
- Each time an application is received it is subject to a new assessment, and applications are assessed every year in relation to the other applications submitted. No donation is automatically renewed.
- Organizations may only submit one project per year.
The EPIDERMA Foundation will not return any of the documentation it receives.
